Sports physio Tilburg

Sports physiotherapy improves performance
Sports physiotherapy focuses specifically on athletes and sports-related injuries. Some of the advantages of sports physiotherapy over regular physiotherapy include:
-
Specific expertise: Sports physiotherapists have specialised knowledge of sports injuries, training principles and sports-specific rehabilitation protocols.
-
Targeted treatment: The treatment is tailored to the specific sport and its demands on the body, allowing you to recover faster and more focused.
-
Prevention and performance improvement: Besides recovery, sports physiotherapists also focus on injury prevention and improving sports performance through specific training programmes.
-
Tailor-made rehabilitation: Rehabilitation programmes are tailor-made, taking into account your sport level, goals and timeline for return to sporting activities.
-
Advice and guidance: You get advice on how to prevent injuries in the future and optimise your sports performance.
In short, sports physiotherapy offers a specialised approach tailored to the specific needs and goals of athletes, which can lead to faster recovery and improved athletic performance.

Return to sports level - building up responsibly to perform optimally.
Rates and reimbursement
The following rates apply for sports physiotherapy consultations at Fysio Fitaal:
Initial consultation: €60,-
Follow-up consultation: €40,-
During the first consultation, a comprehensive intake takes place, during which we go through your specific complaints and medical history. This consultation is essential for establishing an accurate diagnosis and creating an effective treatment plan.
When you undergo a consultation at Physio Fitaal, it falls under Physiotherapy in terms of reimbursement by your health insurer. Below are important points about reimbursement:
Additional Insurance: To be eligible for reimbursement, you must have supplementary health insurance that covers physiotherapy.
After surgery: If sports physiotherapy is needed after surgery, different rules apply. In that case, a referral from your treating specialist is needed to claim long-term reimbursement for sports physiotherapy. In addition, in this case, someone needs to reimburse the first 20 treatments of sports physiotherapy themselves, or it must be possible to get these from the supplementary package.
Contracts with Insurers: Fysio Fitaal has contracts with most health insurers. However, it is advisable to check prior to your appointment whether your specific health insurer has a contract with our practice, so you can be sure that the costs will be covered.
Direct Accessibility: Physiotherapy is directly accessible. This means you can visit without a referral.
Information and Support: If you have questions about reimbursement or are not sure how your insurance covers the cost, our administrative staff can help and advise you.
It is always wise to contact your health insurer before your treatment to avoid surprises and make sure you are eligible for reimbursement.
Sports physio in Tilburg: what can we do for you?
In our rehabilitation, we carefully go through several steps to ensure that you go through the best possible recovery process during and after our sports physio in Tilburg. First of all, we start with a comprehensive interview in which we ask you questions to gather as much relevant information as possible. This helps us to get an in-depth understanding of your situation. We go further by combining this information with additional orthopaedic tests, allowing us to make a thorough and accurate physiotherapy diagnosis. This forms the basis for our further treatment plan, which is tailored to meet your specific needs.
Is your GP needed to support our sports physio?
If necessary, we will involve your GP or consult an orthopaedic specialist to make sure you get the best possible care. It is our priority that you understand where your complaints come from and what you can do to prevent new complaints. That is why we inform you as best we can about preventive measures!
