During the movement, the standing leg remains slightly bent and the body should remain stable while the free leg moves forward, sideways or backwards.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"504\" data-end=\"719\">The exercise requires good hip, knee and ankle control and encourages lower body balance and coordination.
