Treating sports injuries

By Physio Fitaal in Tilburg.

A Sports Injury occurs gradually or can occur suddenly. An example of an acute sports injury is an anterior cruciate ligament injury. Especially with an acute injury, it is necessary to get a good picture of the complaint. At Fysio Fitaal in Tilburg, we specialize in treating a sports injury. Through our extensive knowledge and network within sports rehabilitation, we ensure the best long-term results. Our rehabilitation consists of several steps. We start with the interview here we ask as much relevant information as possible and combine this with additional orthopedic tests. This ensures a correct physiotherapy diagnosis. On the basis of this examination, a clear treatment plan is drawn up. If necessary, we engage the help of your family doctor or have contact with an orthopedic specialist. We find it very important that you understand how possible complaints arise and what you can take into account to recover as quickly as possible from your sports injury! Some sports injuries require a longer rehabilitation, possibly preceded by surgery. The Sports Physiotherapist at Fysio Fitaal will help you draw up the rehabilitation plan.

Rehabilitation from sports injury after surgery in Tilburg

Rehabilitation after surgery for a sports injury is covered by the health insurance company with the exception of the first 20 treatments. The first 20 treatments are (partially) covered by the supplementary insurance for physical therapy. You also need a referral from your doctor or general practitioner. Furthermore, you pay the excess. This is often already used up in the current year in which the surgery took place. If no operation has taken place beforehand, the health insurance company will reimburse the physical therapy treatments from the supplementary insurance. Physiotherapy is only reimbursed from the supplementary package. Are you unsure about your insurance?? Then get in touch with us. We will be happy to look into it with you!
