Reimbursements in 2022
In most cases, physical therapy is not covered by the basic insurance. To get the treatment reimbursed, you must have physiotherapy in your supplementary health insurance. If you do not have supplementary insurance, the treatments will be at your own expense. There are a few exceptions when Physical Therapy is reimbursed from the basic insurance:Â
- Physical therapy as a result of rehabilitation after surgery.
- Physical therapy for conditions listed for chronic physical therapy.
- Physical therapy when you are under 18 years old. Usually 18 treatments per year.
- Physiotherapy after corona complaints. This must be a severe form. This is decided by the doctor or medical specialist. This is 50 treatments which can be extended a maximum of one more time with 6 months.
